Towards the end of last year,2013,
two students from Africa
contacted Newsquest and
asked whether they could join
the Young Reporter Scheme.
We felt that this was a great opportunity for them to write for
a London based online
newspaper and were delighted
to include them, working
alongside our own students
here in the UK. Both students are eighteen
years of age and studying for
their final school exams.
Abdoulie Jammeh is a pupil at
Nusrat High School in The
Gambia and Abdulaziz Momba is studying at Lubala High
Secondary School in Southern

number of articles over the next
couple of months and if they
succeed in doing all eight
articles, which is the statutory
number for our own students, they will also receive the Letter
of Congratulations from the
editor, which recognises their
achievement.
